Emon
From the syfm wiki
Emon is a member of syfm and one of its regulars, with more than 4,600 messages since the server began in March 2026. He plays ranked Overwatch, has a long and complicated relationship with Siege, and holds the server's mod role.
He gives his name to the Emon pass, the Great Emoning of August 2026 and the Emon Trading Card Game.
Ranked play
Emon’s position on ranked is on the record. On 30 July 2026 he ruled that “Genuinely you cant play ranked with a random tank”,1 having already called ranked “actually unplayable” in June.2 It has not kept him away: “So ranked in a bit”, he told the server in May.3
Results vary. Flalam credits him with a carry to Platinum (“Emon caried me to plat”),4 while Rahat has put a loss down to “Emons elo”.5 His Widowmaker has an entry of its own: “Emons critical widow shot got deflected by genji and he died.”6 He also plays League of Legends, sometimes at four in the morning.7
Siege
Emon and Siege have been on and off all year. “Siege is probably worse”, he said in May;8 in June, after ☆ (zino) “genuinely bricked” his game,9 it was “fuck siege”.10 In August he announced “We finally escaped siege”,11 and in September he was “genuinely happy to not play siege”.12 The server took it hard (“emon really uninstalled siege?”13 “yo, emon, is, it, installed?”14). By October he was back, inviting everyone to “Come siege”.15
The Emon pass
An EP, short for Emon pass, makes an exception valid. The rule was set down by arxa in #general on 4 November 2026: “If u have a ep (emon pass) its valid”.16
The Great Emoning
In early August 2026 the server’s members started renaming themselves Emon. On 2 August mika asked “Why’s everyone called Emon”,17 and the next day Rahat reported he “can’t even ping the right emon”.18 Emon took it in his stride: “And then there was bare emons”,19 then “Everyone emon”,20 then “Bro clearly cant differentiate between each emons”.21 By 6 August swag counted “3 uncatorgised emons”,22 and on 11 August mika noted that Rahat was “the only non emon guy”.23
Moderation
Emon’s mod role was first questioned by Rahat in May (“Why does emon have the mod role”).24 Rahat’s “I’m gonna time emon out” in August drew nine reactions,25 but the power runs the other way: in October Rahat reported that “Emon acc just timed him out”.26 On 4 November, as the trading card game took shape, he predicted “emon gonna ban all of us”.27
Forms of address
Minutes before the trading card game was proposed, ☆ addressed him in turn as Emon-san, Emon-kun, Emon-senpai and Emon-sama.28 The name lends itself to this: “the word emon rolls off the tongue”, as swag put it,29 and arxa has taken it as far as “Emon dmon remon quemon”.30
Emon Trading Card Game
The Emon Trading Card Game (ETCG) began on 4 November 2026 as a request from arxa for an “anime trading card like karuta but make them all emon”.31 mika took it on (“im tryna make karuta emon tcg”32) and it became a collectable card game played through dmon. Its first set, Queue Theory, has nine designs. Three are named for Emon, all of them Epic: Emon Enters Queue, The Emon Pass and Last Point Emon. Two more, Ranked in a Bit and Random Tank, take their names from his quotes above.
Everyone can open a free pack of three cards a day with e!pack. Every card pulled is a numbered copy of a
design, with its own finish (Standard or Foil), quality and border. Copies are kept in a binder (e!binder)
and traded one for one (e!trade @user #12 #34). Every design, and every copy pulled so far, is listed at
etcg.mikacore11.com.
Publication history
The proposal for this article was put by Rahat in #general on 4 November 2026: “Can dmon make a wikipedia
page about emon”.33 dmon’s answer was m!emon, which shows a longer, server-only version in Discord,
and this page followed the same day. Every quotation here links to the message it comes from.
